What we are not going to do
Every photograph on this website is an illustration. None of it is work we carried out, and it is labelled that way wherever it appears rather than in small print at the bottom. Contractor sites are full of stock roofs presented as recent jobs, and once you know that, a gallery stops being evidence of anything.
The photographs that matter are the ones taken on your roof, on the day, before anything is touched — and those are yours to keep whatever you decide to do next.
In our own words
Water has usually been getting in for a while and has travelled along timber before it showed. The stain marks where it arrived, not where it entered, which is why the first job is finding the entry point rather than patching the mark.
It comes down to how much of the roof is affected, the condition of the covering elsewhere, and whether the underlayment is still doing its job. We tell you which one we think it is and show you what we based that on.
The covering, the flashings, the valleys and the penetrations, plus the roof space where it can be reached safely. We photograph what we find as we go.
