What was happening
Water was staining the ceiling of a converted garage after wind-driven rain, but only from the north.

What was done
We traced the entry to a ridge vent end cap that had been fastened through the wrong course, then re-detailed the cap and the two courses beneath it.

Where it ended
Two storms since, no recurrence. The ceiling was left to dry and repainted by the owner.
